ROV Control
Well I have been playing around with the FEZ Panda from TinyCLR and I have made enough progress that I think it's time to share.
All I have programmed with was Microsoft's Free Express Edition Visual Studio C# 2010. Download it, it's free.
What I did was made a main Full .NET Windows Form Application that shows video and interfaces with a joystick, sends and collects data via RS232 port.
On the FEZ Panda side (microcontroller), I made a MicroFramework program which basically sits idle until it gets a command from the computer via RS232.

Welcome to Mike's Underwater ROV site.
This site I started just to show a little bit of my trial and errors through trying to build my own underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle.
I started out thinking about building an ROV about 5 or 6 years ago. I was bored, freshly out of college working as a machinist and needed a hobby. Well here it was.
After alot of reading and thinking I decided I was on my way. Boy was I wrong.
I came a across a Yahoo Group called RobotROV, this is a great Group and have alot of knowledge and information on it.

Just Pre-Ordered a new FEZ Panda from TinyCLR.com. I am pretty excited at the possibilities of this little guy. Will update as I get something figured out.

Being a machinist, I thought...Hey I can build anything. Well this is my first Idea of what I should do to build an ROV.....
As you can see by this picture, it wasn't a very humble start of an idea.

I really think this would be a cool concept, but without having a machine shop at home, it would be just difficult to build all of it. Too bad because I have most of it built.
